The barrel of crude oil was trading lower today in the international markets of New York and London.
West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude, which operates on the New York futures market (Nymex), fell 0.32% this morning and was trading at US$ 80.45 a barrel in contracts with delivery in May.
With a similar trend, Brent oil from the North Sea, on the London electronic market (ICE), fell 0.28% and a barrel was agreed at US$ 84.70 but in contracts for June, according to the agency Bloomberg.

Meanwhile, the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) reported that its crude basket closed yesterday at US$ 85.50 a barrel, compared to US$ 84.84 the day before, which represented a rise of 0 .78%
