Crude Oil Futures Surge in Asian Session: NYMEX Reports 0.45% Increase to USD74.41 per Barrel

According to the New York Mercantile Exchange, September was trading at USD74.41 per barrel at the time of writing, up by 0.45%.

It was previously traded at a session high of USD74.41 per barrel. It may find support at USD73.84 and resistance at USD77.33.

The dollar index futures, which measures the performance of the US currency against a basket of six other major currencies, fell by 0.06% to trade at USD99.46.

Meanwhile, on NYMEX, the September price increased by 0.37% to trade at USD78.79 per barrel, while the spread between contracts stood at USD4.38 per barrel.
