Investing.com – higher during the Asian session on Friday.
According to the New York Mercantile Exchange, January was trading at $78.20 a barrel at the time of writing, up 0.33%.
It was previously trading at a session high of USD 78.39 a barrel. It could find support at USD 75.30 and resistance at USD 82.36.
Dollar index futures, which measure the performance of the US currency against a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.02% to trade at USD 105.79.
Meanwhile, on the Nymex, the January price rose 0.33% to $85.39 a barrel, while the spread between contracts stood at $7.19 a barrel.
