Investing.com – rose during the US session on Tuesday.
According to the New York Mercantile Exchange, March was trading at USD81.41 per barrel at the time of writing, up by 1.62%.
It was previously trading at a session high of USD81.50 per barrel. It may find support at USD77.11 and resistance at USD81.50.
The dollar index futures, which measures the performance of the greenback against a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.18% to trade at USD102.13.
Meanwhile on Nymex, the price for the month of March rose by 2.75% to trade at USD86.78 per barrel, while the spread between contracts stood at USD5.37 per barrel.
