Dressed in bunaders and suits, the crown prince couple and Prince Sverre Magnus greeted the children’s train outside Skaugum in Asker.
Princess Ingrid Alexandra shone with her absence. The princess is a graduating student at Elvebakken upper secondary school and therefore celebrates the day together with the Russian.
She will not have any official duties in connection with this year’s National Day and will not be seen on the castle balcony either.
Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit both wore bunad. The crown princess stood in a Rogaland bunad, while the crown prince stood in a bunad from Asker, where the crown prince’s family lives. Sverre Magnus was wearing a suit.
The family’s dog, Molly Fiskebolle, was also present to greet the children’s train, which was accompanied by music from the Asker music corps. Molly Fiskebolle was wearing a May 17 bow for the occasion.
