Social media was shocked with photos of the shoes belonging to the Vice President Director of PT Bank Central Asia (BCA) Tbk, Armand Wahyudi Hartono, which were broken. The photo does not seem to show himself as the son of the richest man in the Republic.
Yes, Armand Hartono is the crown prince of the Djarum Group. He is the youngest son of Robert Budi Hartono, the owner of BCA and the grandson of Oei Wie Gwan, the founder of the cigarette company Djarum and the Hartono Group.
As the third generation of conglomerate in Indonesia, Armand Hartono is not shy about uploading photos of his broken shoes on social media. You can see that the shoes are brown and look broken in the front.
From the photo caption, the shoe suddenly broke while he was traveling. To outsmart it, Armand Hartono bandaged the broken part with black duct tape.
“Prepare for anything. Anything can happen, old shoes suddenly tear on the way, fortunately there is duct tape,” he wrote, quoted by detikcom, Monday (6/9/2021).
The broken shoes that Armand Hartono has shown on his social media have actually been around since December 2017. But the photo is still being talked about until now, as if netizens couldn’t believe it and were amazed.
“Always salute and respect his simplicity,” wrote the account @li*a_put*ika.
“Even though the money can buy Indonesia,” wrote the account @l*onardi* jokingly.
“He can buy factory shoes, but he can’t with his memories,” said @un**rajaf.
