(03.11.2022) The selection committee for the implementation of the Corona Action Plan has given the green light to several new projects aimed at mitigating the consequences of the pandemic for the population of Frankfurt. At the first meeting on October 17 this year, experts approved 46 applications, which means that the offers behind them can be implemented.
A total sum of approximately 1.1 million is thus made available to various associations, sponsors and initiatives in the first application phase.
After 23 city offices and companies jointly developed the Corona Action Plan under the leadership of the Office for Youth and Social Care, it is now in the implementation phase. At the first meeting of the interdepartmental selection committee on 17 October this year, a decision was made on the applications submitted. Approved offers should be implemented quickly and unbureaucratically so that Frankfurters are raised in various areas of life. All applicants have already been informed.
Out of a total of 60 applications, 46 applications were accepted for a total amount of approximately € 1.1 million. The range of offers is varied and ranges from an app for patients at risk, various cultural offers in social institutions, social counseling in different places to family leisure. Different target groups are reached. An overview of the projects is available online on Corona Action Plan | City Frankfurt am Main.
“It is fantastic what we can do for people in Frankfurt by joining forces and taking into account many different perspectives,” says Elke Voitl, Head of Social Affairs.
Further applications can be submitted until Monday 10 December. This will be decided at the second meeting of the selection committee in mid-January next year.
All other questions about the application will be answered in a digital information event on Friday 25 November from 10:00 to 12:00. Interested parties can register by e-mail at [email protected] and will then receive the access data for participation.
