The creator of Crossfit, Gregg Glassmanmade an offensive comment about George Floyd, which generated rejection in addition to lost its main sponsor of sportswear and all because he compared the victim of police abuse in America with the covid-19.
It all started when the Institute of Measurement and Evaluation for Health made a publication against racism living in the United States after the case of the African American citizen. There it was when Glassman replied the comment with the phrase “It’s Floyd-19” and unleashed a chain reaction.
Hundreds of users, including athletes and famous artists, criticized the comment and they expressed their repudiation against the CEO of CrossFit including the Reebok brand, its main sponsor.
“We have recently been in talks regarding a new agreement; however, in light of recent events, we have made the decision to end our partnership with CrossFit ”, establishes the statement detailing that only the contract signed for this 2020 will be fulfilled.
TO Reebok marks joined CrossFit Magnus and Petworth Fitness they decided to end their contractual agreements.
