Crosetto and the retweet on abuse of office: “I would never attack Mattarella”

A retweet that sparks discussion. The minister Guido Crosetto he relaunched the tweet of the deputy of Action Enrico Costa which highlighted the 28 days that have passed since the final vote to repeal the abuse of office without, in the meantime, the ratification by the President of the Republic and the publication in the Official Journal. A point that, for the government representative, should not be considered as an attack on the Quirinale. “I would never attack Mattarella, who I consider a pillar of our nation”, claims Crosetto today on social media.

Here is the reconstruction provided by the minister: “Yesterday I ‘liked’ a tweet by Enrico Costa (in reality it was a retweet, that is, the sharing of content, ndr). I have often done this for years, on his guarantor reflections. Even when he was not tender towards the executive of which I am a part or, even before the Meloni Government, when he had a different line from that of FdI on some issues of Justice. Today I read in several newspapers things like ‘Government against the Quirinale’, ‘The Government attacks…’. So I think it is appropriate to reiterate some things: when Crosetto wants to attack, he does it directly, not using the words of third parties”.

In any case, Sergio Mattarella still has a handful of days to evaluate the Nordio bill. The text received the green light from the Chamber on July 10, 390 days after the approval of the Council of Ministers, the head of state has a whole month to evaluate the texts. So no delay can be reproached to him.
