Croatia captain Milan Skriniar will leave Inter as a free player before his upcoming move to Paris Saint-Germain, after the Italian club announced yesterday his departure from its ranks.
Inter, the European runners-up, said in a statement: “Six seasons full of victories and achievements: Here ends Milan Shkriniar’s adventure with the Inter shirt.”
The defender’s contract expired yesterday and he will become a free player to move to the French champions.
The 28-year-old won the Italian League title with the “Nerazzurri” in 2021, the Italian Cup twice and the local Super Cup twice, and he finished runner-up to Manchester City this year in the Champions League final.
He has not played with Inter since last March, and underwent spine surgery the following month.
He missed an exciting end to the season, which also witnessed qualifying at the expense of rivals Milan to the Champions League final.
