MCC criticized by fellow party residents of ‘Senayan’ after his frontman, Hidayat Nur Wahid (HNW) echoed the label ‘archipelago Zionists‘. There are at least 2 parties that ‘shower’ criticism on the PKS, namely PKB and NasDem.
The term Zionist archipelago was echoed at the time HNW expressed his concern over the emergence of groups / individuals in Indonesia who support Israeli military aggression against Palestine. According to the deputy chairman of the PKS Shura Council, groups / individuals who support Israel are often called archipelago zionists.
“The echo of the rejection of crimes against humanity and occupation by Israel against Palestine is always heard clearly from Indonesia. The DPR, MPR, BKSAP, PBNU and Muhammadiyah have made strong rejection statements,” said HNW in a written statement, Tuesday (18/5/2021).
“PKS even sent an open letter to US President Joe Biden, who is the main supporter of Israel. So that the occupation and human rights violations by Israel against the Palestinians since 1948, long before the birth of HAMAS, can be corrected, stopped and given sanctions,” he added. .
Another PKS elite, Mardani Ali Sera then explained who the Indonesian Zionists were. Mardani said that the term Zionist archipelago was associated with those who support Israeli attacks on Palestinians.
“The term ‘Zionist archipelago’ may be aimed at those who support Israel even though they know Israel’s tyranny. Our constitution mandates that to uphold the principle of independence is the right of all nations,” said Mardani when asked for confirmation, Wednesday (19/5).
After it became clear who the Indonesian zionists meant by HNW were, criticism of PKS emerged. PKB explicitly criticizes PKS.
PKB assesses labeling archipelago Zionists it’s the same as mixing the right with the wrong.
“Crazy puns, mixing right with vanity,” said PKB Deputy Chairman (Waketum) Jazilul Fawaid to reporters, Thursday (20/5).
One message from PKB for PKS, don’t just accuse. This is because PKB sees the issue of the Israeli conflict with Palestine as being used by individuals for certain interests.
“Don’t be busy making accusations and making labels,” Jazilul reminded.
“In fact, there are also some of us who take the stage with the Palestinian issue,” he continued.
In the 1945 Constitution it is clearly stated that colonialism in any form in this world must be abolished. PKB emphasized that Indonesia must firmly reject any form of colonialism.
“In my opinion, our constitution rejects any colonialism on earth. We, the Indonesian people, must firmly reject all forms of aggression and colonialism,” said Jazilul.
