Criticism of Turkish Government Policy, 10 Retired Generals Arrested

ANKARA, KOMPAS.TV Turkey has arrested 10 retired generals who were involved in criticism of the Turkish government, Monday (5/4/2021).

Previously, for more than 100 retired generals issued a declaration against the construction of the Istanbul Canal.

They warned of possible threats to agreements governing the use of Turkey’s main waterways.

The Turkish prosecutor’s office also ordered four other suspects to report to the police within three days.

The four of them were not arrested because the prosecutor’s office thought about their age.

As quoted Al-Jazeera they are accused of using force and force to remove constitutional orders.
