With song lyrics such as “Ride me as a dala horse” and “Jag villl ha harda tag, ge mig strypsex i ditt garage” Ms. Snusk has become known for her daring word choices.

On Saturday, she takes part in Melodifestivalen, which is watched by families with children all over the country. It has caused several people on social media to react. It questions, among other things, why SVT allows the artist to participate in a “family program”.

Now Miss Snusk is speaking out about the criticism.

– It has been very busy. I have become very sad. This is my biggest dream since I was little. That people question that I shouldn’t be in. It’s really hard, she says.

How to deal with it?

– You just have to realize that everyone will think differently, not everyone will like me, but just that I am myself and show who I am when people get to meet me, that’s the most important thing, she says.

Miss Snusk has previously told us that she has songs that are less dirty and that her song in Melodifestivalen is not particularly dirty. In her contribution, she sings, among other things, “We pounded the tin and felt we were free. And I said, you there ‘Come as you are’. We will sing. We will sing. We are free”.

Anders Wistbacka is project manager at Melodifestivalen and he emphasizes that Fröken Snusk is a participating artist who does not represent SVT.

– She can continue her normal activities outside the Melodifestivalen, including advertising, but she must never link her participation to the advertising, he says.

Criticism has been directed at you for letting her in, what do you think about that?

– I’m saying pretty much the same thing, she’s an exciting and talented artist, and that’s what we want. I find it difficult to have any opinions on her activities outside of Melodifestivalen.

What artistic void is she filling in Mello this year?

– She is an artist who acts in the epadunk, a large genre in Sweden. I think it is important that the Melodifestivalen is relevant in its time, then we must also have artists who act in a specific popular new genre – to be relevant, he says.
