While only smaller groups roam downtown Vienna, Herbert Kickl, President of the right-wing populist FPÖ, makes a statement. “Today that was an unmistakable, but at the same time enormously disciplined and completely peaceful sign of the will for freedom and the resistance against this turquoise-green Corona dictatorship and its coercive measures. Our resistance to these measures by the ÖVP and the Greens will of course continue in the future. We would also like to thank the police officers who accompanied this event so professionally, carefully and in an exemplary manner, thereby making it possible to safeguard our basic right to freedom of assembly ”, said Kickl in a video message.
