The day on which 637 more deaths from coronavirus were reported in Spain, the journalist from the COPE Network Juanma Castaño became a trend after interviewing Toni Freixa, candidate for the Presidency of FC Barcelona, in which he ignored that the interviewee had lost his parents during the covid-19 pandemic.
The journalist and presenter, who asked the candidate a quick questionnaire, interrogated Freixa about whether or not she had cried during the pandemic, as a result of the CIS study in which it is ensured that only one in three Spaniards has done it.
Freixa responds: “Yes, of course; I have lost my parents”, to which Castaño reacts with a simple “Who do you want to win the Eurocup?“The coldness of the moment, of moving from one question to another without saying a word about the death of the interviewee’s parents, has generated a strong reaction on social networks.

How rude Toni Freixa; They are doing a sports interview with him and when they ask him if he has cried, he says: “yes, of course. I have lost my parents”, thank goodness that Juanma Castaño has not let himself get involved and has continued with sports.
What a great journalist. pic.twitter.com/7n8isYp04S– Anacleto Panceto ???? ️ ???? (@Xuxipc) March 5, 2021
Juanma Castaño: Have you cried in this Pandemic?
