Criticism of Facebook for building electricity station in Zeewolde: can the rich now buy priority on the grid? | Economy

Last week, after a WOB request from The Telegraph announced that the Ministry of Economic Affairs has granted Meta, the parent company of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, permission to build its own substation. A substation is a kind of mega meter box. With this, Meta thinks it has enough energy to the data center to be located in Zeewolde to provide electricity.
