A 42-year-old motorcyclist from Larnaca is hospitalized in a critical condition at Nicosia General Hospital, after a road collision that happened yesterday afternoon on the Agro – Palaichori road.
The road collision occurred shortly after three in the afternoon, when the motorcycle driven by the 42-year-old man on the road above, followed by a second motorcyclist, under circumstances that are being investigated, overturned, resulting in the driver being dragged onto the asphalt.
Due to the overturning, the second motorcyclist entered the opposite flow of traffic, as a result of which his motorcycle collided with a car coming from the opposite direction.
The consequence of the road collision was the critical injury of the 42-year-old, who is being treated at the Nicosia General Hospital.
The second motorcyclist, who was also taken to the Nicosia General Hospital, was found to have suffered a fractured arm and shoulder blade and his condition is out of danger.
The Nicosia Traffic Police continues the examinations.
