“Increasing regional tensions between Russia and Ukraine, which have the potential to result in unannounced cross-border fighting, increased military activity and / or conflict,” reads the FAA notice issued to US airlines but also important to other national airlines.

Quoting Reuters, Tuesday (20/4/2021), since 2014, the FAA has banned US civil aviation operations in the area around the Ukraine-Russia border. The notice also said airlines must provide at least 72 hours’ notice to the FAA of planned flights in the region.
