Mediaset España has appointed Cristina Garmendia, who was Minister of Science and Innovation with the Authorities of José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, as president of the corporate, after Borja Prado introduced his resignation in December.
This appointment was made after being accredited by the corporate’s Board of Administrators assembly yesterday, Mediaset España reported this Wednesday in a press release.
Till this second and since December 2017, Cristina Garmendia was an unbiased director of the corporate and a member of the Appointments and Remuneration Committee and the Audit and Compliance Committee of the corporate.
His appointment comes months after Borja Prado introduced his resignation from workplace with impact from December 31.
Throughout his mandate, Prado undertook the method of public takeover bid (takeover bid), segregation and subsequent merger by absorption of the corporate with its father or mother firm, MediaForEurope (MEF) -controlled by the Berlusconi family-.
Garmendia (San Sebastián, Guipúzcoa, 1962) is a health care provider in Organic Sciences. Amongst different positions, she is an unbiased director on the boards of administrators of Caixabank and Grupo Logista, the place she holds the place of vice chairman; She is a proprietary director at Ysios Capital Companions, and a member of the Area Advisory Council of the European Fee.
