If, until now, they were silent about the parents’ lives of two children with Down syndrome, Cristina and Gabriel Bălan decided to talk. And that’s because they want to lend a helping hand to those who are going through the same situation. In the Monday, March 21 edition of the show “La Măruţă” (PRO TV), Cristina told what she went through when, being pregnant, the doctors told her that one of the babies was suffering from Down syndrome, which is why she was advised to have an abortion.
It seems absurd to me to think in these terms that, if it is “defective,” you throw it away. In my case, it was about two lives, that I couldn’t have an abortion, that I could kill one of the children, that it was about killing here! ”, Said Cristina in a voice choked with emotion, on PRO TV. “No matter how much empathy a man shows, he can’t understand exactly what is in the soul of a parent who has a special baby (or more),” confessed the singer’s husband.
