Cristiano scores his 100th goal in the Premier and dedicates it to his deceased son

The Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo today reached 100 personal goals in the Premier League, a mark he dedicated to his son who died last week, in an atmosphere of strong emotion at the Emirates Stadium, where the local Arsenal beat his team, Manchester United , by 3-1.

Cristiano, applauded by the entire field in the 7th minute -the number he wears as his number-, scored 1-2 for the Red Devils in the 34th minute of the first half and during his measured celebration he pointed his eyes and his left hand towards the sky .

Ronaldo and his wife, the Argentinian Georgina Rodríguez, announced last Monday on their social networks the death of one of their twin sons during childbirth.

The match at the Emirates Stadium in London, valid for the 34th date of the Premier, was resolved in favor of the locals with goals from the Portuguese Nuno Tavarez (3m.), Bukayo Saka, from a penalty kick (32m.) and the Swiss Granit Xhaka (70m).

At 57 minutes, Manchester United had a great chance to equalize the match but a penalty kick executed by the Portuguese Bruno Fernández hit one of the posts.

With his goal, Cristiano Ronaldo became the first footballer to reach a hundred Premier League goals (all with United) and LaLiga de España.

He had also reached that number of goals in Serie A in Italy with the Juventus shirt, where he played three seasons.

The Portuguese has scored 811 goals throughout his career, a number that continues to distance him as the world’s top scorer.

Arsenal, led by the Spanish Mikel Arteta, consolidated for now in fourth place, entering the Champions League, with 60 units, leaving Manchester United in sixth place with 54 with a more played match.
