Cristiano Ronaldo’s Son Joins Al Nassr: A Promising Career in the Making

“Hold on, dad, I want to play with you,” said the eldest of Cristiano’s sons to his father. For some time now, he has wanted to share the playing field with the world star. It happened in Turin and Manchester, when Cristiano Jr. wore the same shirt as his father in the lower categories. On this occasion, he has accompanied him to Riyadh, where CR now competes and where he is winning the affection of the entire Saudi population. In the Arab team, he already has 25 goals and eight assists. In fact, on his return from the Portuguese national team’s concentration, his teammates celebrated the Portuguese’s 40 goals this season. In general numbers, throughout his career, he has accumulated 859 goals in 118 official matches.

The signing of the little one for Al Nassr has not yet been made official, but the Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, specialized in the transfer market, announced the signing between Cristiano’s son and the ‘Knights of Najd’. In Saudi Arabia, he will compete for the team’s under-15 category, despite being 13 years old. He has followed in all of his father’s footsteps so far, the only shirt they have not shared has been that of Real Madrid, since he was not in the Madrid youth team during Cristiano’s time with the white team.

His football career began in 2018, when he signed for the Turin under-9 team. According to Tuttosport, with the Vecchia Signora shirt he would achieve 58 goals and 27 assists in 23 games. In England, he would reach 58 goals and 18 assists in just 20 games in one season. Here, he was even presented with an official ceremony alongside the Brazilian Gabriel, another young promise who has more than 30,000 followers on Instagram.

That his grandmother adores him is nothing new. Dolores Aveiro stated on more than one occasion that her grandson will have a promising future; she even dared to say that he was better than her father. “Is special. A different child. To tell the truth, he has more style than Ronaldo had at his age, everything he learned was through his head, Cristianinho (that’s what she calls him) is learning from his father, and at his age he is already better than his father at that age because he has a teacher,” he noted.

Cristiano Ronaldo has also confessed on more than one occasion that he would like his son to follow in his footsteps, but that above all he wants his happiness, and of course, he is still far from stardom. “We will see if my son becomes a great player, he is not one yet. He sometimes drinks soda and eats chips, he knows I don’t like him. I tell him that after the tape he has to rest in cold water and he doesn’t like it. He is normal, he is 10 years old. He has potential, he is fast and dribbles well, but that is not enough, with that he does not arrive. It takes a lot of work and dedication, I always tell you that. I’m not going to pressure you, but if you ask me if I would like it, of course I would.
