The Portuguese star will take legal action against the Italian team to collect a millionaire figure in euros that the Turin entity owes it “in terms of salaries during the Covid-19 pandemic,” according to what was reported in the Italian press.
The ex-Real Madrid wants to recover 20 million euros that he should have received during the 2020-2021 season and that the leadership of the Old lady did not pay him, as detailed La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s claim to Juventus for a millionaire debt
After his departure during the 2021/22 season, Cristiano Ronaldo had agreed to collect those 20 million euros later to help the Italian managers to overcome the economic difficulties related to the pandemic period and the temporary cessation of Serie A.
The Portuguese considers that the Turin club still owes him the money and that salary arrears is 20 million euros, however, since Juventus deny that the facts are like this, since they assure that the player signed documents in which he agrees to resign apart from his salary 2020-2021 and there is no reason to return anything.
After this refusal, the Italian media maintains that the Portuguese intends to take the club in which he played for three entire seasons to court, in which he scored 101 goals between 2018 and 2021.
Last May, Juventus was fined 718,240 euros for late payment of player salaries, after having received a 10-point discount in the League for accounting fraud in player transfers.
