The book reveals that Mobily, a Saudi telecommunications company, struck a deal with Ronaldo’s Irish image rights company, Multisports & Image Management.
The deal gave Mobily four and a half hours of Ronaldo’s timeincluding a photoshoot, five signed jerseys and two promotions on his social media, where he reportedly earns around £1.6 million per sponsored post.
Mobily was allowed to use footage taken at the session, but advertising was limited to the Middle East and North Africa, with the campaign regionally restricted.
For these services, Ronaldo and his team billed the company a whopping £920,000. After moving to Riyadh, Ronaldo and his entourage, including family, friends and security, initially stayed at the Four Seasons Hotel, occupying 17 rooms.
According to reports, Ronaldo was spending £250,000 a month on this accommodation, but he and his entourage have since moved out.
It is believed that Ronaldo is currently residing in an exclusive complex, which has tight security and easy access to restaurants, shops, gyms and other amenities.
