Cristiano Ronaldo has already started his 2023/24 season – his first full season with Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr, and he plays with a chip on his shoulder after failing to win any trophies in his first five months with the club.
Ronaldo joined Al Nassr in January 2023 with the richest contract in the sport’s history, but despite scoring 14 goals in 19 games in all competitions, he failed to guide his new club to a silver medal by the end of the season in May.
Al Nassr finished second in the Saudi Pro League and also failed in the semi-finals of the Saudi Super Cup and the semi-finals of the King Cup. Individually, Ronaldo finished fifth in the Saudi Pro League Golden Boot race, although he still had a mountain to climb after joining mid-season.
Ronaldo could score many more goals as he plays his first full season with an even stronger Al-Nassr squad that includes newcomers Sadio Mane, Marcelo Brozovic, Seko Fofana, Alex Telles and Ronaldo’s compatriot Luis Castro as manager. Additionally, Ronaldo developed a prolific forward partnership with Brazilian striker Anderson Talisca, who has also returned to fill his role in attack.
CR7 is already off to a strong start and The Jugo Mobile is tracking its goals and stats into its second season.
