Cristiano Ronaldo is said to be dealing with another transfer six months after moving to Saudi Arabia, was read in Spain this week. Following Ronaldo’s latest interview, it doesn’t sound like goodbyes.

The early termination of the cooperation with Al-Nassr, which was only officially concluded in January, is apparently not a serious issue for Cristiano Ronaldo. At least in an interview with the Saudi broadcaster SSC, the 38-year-old does not give the impression that a change is an option.

“We’ve gotten a lot better and the Saudi league is getting better and better and next year will be even better,” Ronaldo said. “I think that step by step this league will be among the top five leagues in the world, but it needs time, players and infrastructure.”

Does CR7 wish to return to Europe?

Mundo Deportivo claimed this week that Ronaldo was seriously considering leaving Al-Nassr after his spectacular January move. Ronaldo’s goal is to return to Europe or to explore other lucrative opportunities, it said. It doesn’t really look like that though.

Ronaldo enthuses that Saudi Arabia has “incredible potential”. “It has incredible people and I think the league will be great.” The superstar has signed a contract that will run until 2025, which should guarantee him an annual salary of 200 million euros. Apparently this will also be the case in the longer term.

Rivaldo wants Ronaldo back in Real Madrid jersey

Rivaldo recently recommended Cristiano Ronaldo to return to Europe. The 2002 World Cup winner said: “It would be good for him and for football if Cristiano Ronaldo returned to Real Madrid and ended his career there.”
