In 2014 Wilfried Zaha left Manchester United, switched to Crystal Palace and became a club legend there. If you believe rumours, the Ivorian was always faced with saying goodbye, and BVB was also repeatedly said to be interested. Now another change of scenery is imminent – to Cristiano Ronaldo’s new club.
In recent years, winger Wilfried Zaha has repeatedly been associated with a move to Borussia Dortmund. Most recently, in December 2022, there were rumors about a change from the Premier League star to BVB.
Zaha should be particularly interesting for the Ruhrpott club and Co., as he is available for free after the current season – provided he does not unexpectedly extend his contract with Crystal Palace. According to English media reports, however, the future of the 30-year-old should not lie in the lap of the Eagles.
Zaha is considering continuing his career alongside Cristiano Ronaldo at Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr. This is reported by the “Evening Standard”.
Saudi Arabia instead of BVB?
However, Al-Nassr is said to be just one of three Saudi Arabian clubs who are said to be considering offering Zaha a contract in the summer. Specifically, however, the “Evening Standard” only names the duo Al-Hillal and Al-Ittihad.
AC Milan, a top European club, is also said to be interested in Zaha, the right footer of the idea of continuing his career in the Saudi Pro League, but are open to it, according to the report in the English newspaper. The possibility that the national player will extend his contract with Crystal Palace after all is very small, the newspaper judges.
Zaha has scored 89 goals and provided 79 assists in 450 professional games for Palace. In 2022/23 he has six goals and three assists in 20 games.
