LONDON – Manchester United superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo angry after being replaced in the 71st minute in the match against Brentford, Thursday (20/1/2022) early morning WIB. Ronaldo’s anger was then considered reasonable by the coach, Ralf Rangnick, but he felt pulling CR7 was the right decision.
Man United actually managed to smile after the match against Brentford because they were able to close the match with a score of 3-1 in the 2021-2022 Premier League match. However, the angry Ronaldo turned out to be in the spotlight.
CR7 – Ronaldo’s nickname – was pulled out by Rangnick and replaced by Harry Maguire when the game still had 20 minutes left from normal time in a 2-0 lead. However, the Portuguese player did not look happy.
When substituted, the former Juventus and Real Madrid player was given a coat by one of the coaching staff, but he immediately threw the coat on the ground. After that, Ronaldo looked angry at the reserves and coaching staff of the Red Devils – the nickname of Man United. He looked frustrated after failing to contribute much to the match.
However, Rangnick considers the reaction of his flagship player reasonable. Then, the German coach also said that the reason for replacing CR7 was because the player had just recovered from a minor injury that made him miss two matches against Aston Villa.
In addition, the former RB Leipzig coach also did it because he wanted to strengthen the back line. He doesn’t want Man United to return to a draw after a two-goal lead as happened in the last match against Villa.
