Striker and captain Al Nassr Cristiano Ronaldo topped the Saudi Arabia Pro League top scorer list after scoring two goals against Al Shabab, Wednesday (30/8) early morning WIB.
Al Nassr host Al Shabab in week four of the Saudi Pro League at the Al Awal Park Stadium at King Saud University.
In that match, Luis Castro’s team won a landslide victory 4-0. Cristiano Ronaldo scored two goals which all came from the penalty spot, 13′ and 38′.
Two other Al Nassr goals were scored by Sadio Mane in the 40th minute and Sultan Al Ghannam in the 80th minute.
Cristiano Ronaldo performed brilliantly in that match. CR7 scored a goal with a header in the middle of the first half, but the VAR was disallowed due to a violation.
The former Manchester United player could have scored a hat trick in this match. However, when Al Nassr earned a third penalty in the 63rd minute, Ronaldo gave it to Abdulrahman Ghareeb.
This 38-year-old player also provided assists for goals scored by Sadio Mane. Al Nassr’s closing goal through Sultan Al Ghannam also came from Ronaldo’s header which hit the opponent’s goalpost.
By scoring two goals against Al Shabab, Ronaldo has now collected five goals in three matches in the Saudi League.
In the top scorer standings of the Saudi League, Cristiano Ronaldo is one goal ahead of striker Al Ittihad Abderrazak Hamdallah, star Al Hilal Malcom, and his teammate Sadio Mane.
Al-Ahli striker Roberto Firmino is fifth in the Saudi Arabia Pro League top scorer standings with a collection of three goals.
