On New Year’s Eve, the multiple Ballon d’Or winner and his family not only celebrated the start of the new year, but also his beloved mother’s birthday. According to Bild, the star player’s sister shared a video on Instagram in which Cristiano and Maria run together towards a car that is wrapped with an oversized red bow. Knowing that the speedster is now her property, the 69-year-old begins to cry. “If she is happy, it is because her son remembers her and not because of the value of the gift,” Katia is said to have commented on the touching moment between her brother and mom.
In November, the father of the family revealed in an interview with GQ that he was named after former US President Ronald Reagan. This used to be Cristiano’s father’s favorite actor and: “They thought that [der Name] sounds strong,” said the 38-year-old.
