Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo has sent a message to his ex-coach Rudi Garcia, who was fired by Al-Nassr. The two men worked together for a few months.

Al-Nassr coach Rudi Garcia was fired on Thursday, April 13, 2023 after just nine months in the job. This news does not seem to have left Cristiano Ronaldo indifferent, who worked with Garcia for a few months. The Portuguese star posted a message of support for his former coach on his Instagram account.
“It is a pleasure to have worked with you. I wish you the best for the future”. The post is accompanied by a photo of Cristiano Ronaldo and Rudi Garcia.
Garcia’s departure is not a surprise, due to Al-Nassr’s poor results since the start of the season, despite the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo. The club is in second place in the championship, three points behind leader Al-Ittihad trained by Nuno Espirito Santo.
Along with the disappointing results, Garcia’s poor relationship with part of the dressing room is also said to have contributed to his sacking. The French technician would have had problems with some players, which would have pushed the management to make a quick decision.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s club have announced that the new coach of Al-Nassr will be Dinko Jelicic, the team’s U19 coach.
