Cristiano Ronaldo was brilliant on Wednesday in Al-Nassr’s 2-0 victory over Al-Taawon in the semi-finals of the Saudi Arabian Super Cup, which will put them in contention for the title this weekend.
The Portuguese national team star provided the assist; Ayman Yahya scored with a first-time shot from Cristiano Ronaldo after tipping the ball in from a left-wing run by Sadio Mané in the 8th minute.
It was not until the second half that Cristiano Ronaldo scored his goal, making it 0-2 for Al-Nassr, in the 57th minute with a first-time shot inside the area to leave the opposing goalkeeper unbeaten.
Al-Nassr and Cristiano Ronaldo will face Al-Hilal in the Saudi Arabia Super Cup Final on August 17 at 9:00 a.m. Central Mexico Time, 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time.
Following the Super Cup, Al-Nassr will begin the new season in the Saudi League on August 22 against Al-Raed.
