Cristiano Ronaldo says there is no World Cup without Portugal

Cristiano Ronaldo offered his last words before Tuesday’s clash between Portugal and Macedonia in Porto, in which one of the last places in the Qatar 2022 World Cup will be awarded.

The star was consulted by a Sport TV journalist about the possibility of being left out of the World Cup, to which the Manchester United player said: “There is no World Cup without Portugal,” he exclaimed.

He was also asked if the Qatar date would be the last of his career. “There is no World Cup without Portugal,” he repeated. “This is not about individualities. This is about a whole group.”

North Macedonia are coming off defeating Italy in Palermo last week and will once again be looking to put together a solid defensive approach to defeat a talented Portuguese team.
