Cristiano Ronaldo ready for Al-Nassr

There have long been rumors.

But now it is clear that Cristiano Ronaldo will continue his career in Saudi Arabia. The 37-year-old has signed a 2.5-year contract with Al-Nassr. According to the AFP news agency, the value of the contract would be just over 2.2 billion Swedish crowns.

“The greatest athlete in the world has now signed,” the club wrote in a statement.

The Portuguese has been named the best footballer in the world five times. He has previously played for Real Madrid, Juventus and Manchester United. He got into conflicts with the latter club earlier this year, and then it was decided to terminate his contract.

“I am looking forward to experiencing a new football league in a new country. The vision that the club has presented is very inspiring and I am looking forward to joining my teammates and helping the team achieve new successes” Ronaldo told the club’s website.

Ronaldo has won the Champions League five times, in 2008, 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2018.

In the national team, he won the European Championship in 2016 and the Nations League in 2019. At the World Cup in Qatar, Portugal lost to Morocco in the quarterfinals.
