Cristiano Ronaldo Prefers Saudi Arabian League Over European Football

Cristiano Ronaldo has ruled out returning to European football, which in his opinion “has lost a lot of quality”, and assures that he prefers to play in Saudi Arabia, which will continue to receive more top-level players because he “opened Pandora’s box”.

In statements to the press in the Algarve (south of Portugal) after the game between his team, Al Nassr, and Celta de Vigo (5-0 defeat), Cristiano assured that “it is not worth it” to return to Europe, given his age and the decline in quality of their leagues, with the exception of England.

“That door is completely closed. I’m already 38 and a half years old and it’s not worth it. From my point of view, Europe has lost a lot of quality. The only league in the world, for me, that is at a higher level than all of them, is the Premier League. I don’t think even the Spanish league has that much quality, ”he said.

The former Real Madrid player also refused to join Lionel Messi in the United States’ MLS.

“I think the Saudi Arabian championship is much better and in time it will be very strong,” he opined. “Cristiano has opened Pandora’s box and now everyone is going to Arabia, coincidence or not,” she stressed.
