Portugal’s superstar Cristiano Ronaldo believes two former BVB stars can win the title of World Footballer. However, the favorite is someone else.
Dortmund – Cristiano Ronaldo and Borussia Dortmund met several times in the Champions League. However, two former BVB stars did not play with the Westphalians against CR7: Erling Haaland and Jude Bellingham.

However, according to Cristiano Ronaldo, the duo has a good chance of becoming world footballers in the future. The Portuguese superstar revealed this on his YouTube channel “UR Cristiano”.
In a conversation with Rio Ferdinand, his former Manchester United teammate, Ronaldo also named Lamine Yamal (FC Barcelona) and Kylian Mbappe (Real Madrid) as promising candidates for the prestigious award.

For years, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi were virtually tied for the Ballon d’Or award. This year, however, the duo are not nominated for the prize.
This gives the new generation, which Ronaldo believes has great potential, the chance to win the title of World Footballer on October 28, 2024. Many observers believe that former BVB striker Erling Haaland would have deserved the award in 2023 after winning the treble with Manchester City. Ultimately, however, Lionel Messi received his eighth Ballon d’Or.

It is questionable whether Erling Haaland or Jude Bellingham will receive the award this year. The competition is fierce. The favorite for the Ballon d’Or is Vinicius Junior, Bellingham’s teammate from Real Madrid.
The duo won the Champions League, the Spanish Supercup and the Spanish championship together with the “Royals”. However, Vinicius scored the 2-0 goal in the Champions League final against BVB. This fact could ultimately be a deciding factor. The Brazilian also scored a total of 24 goals and 11 assists for Real Madrid in 2023/24.
