Author of a quadruple, Cristiano Ronaldo was the architect of Al-Nassr’s 0-4 victory Thursday night at Al-Wehda, as part of the 16th day of the Saudi Pro League. CR7 scored two goals in the first period (21st, 40th) and did the same after the break (53rd pen, 61st).
These were also “historic” goals, since the Portuguese now has 503 league goals in his career.
Since his transfer, Ronaldo has scored five goals for Al-Nassr, who took the lead in the Saudi league at the expense of rivals Al-Shabab. Both clubs have 37 points, but Al-Nassr have played one game less. Last Friday, the Portuguese opened his counter against Al-Fateh by converting a penalty in added time (final score: 2-2).
Ronaldo, 38, joined Al-Nassr at the end of December, following a scoring career at Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus, among others.
Al-Nassr have already won nine league titles, the last of which was in 2019. In 1995, the club were runners-up in the Asian Champions League and in 1998 they won the Asian Cup Winners’ Cup and the Super Cup from Asia.
