Moroccan internationals notably launched a blood donation campaign to help the physical victims of the earthquake. Affected and bruised, the Moroccans living there lost their homes and their possessions, having to endure a difficult aftermath after the disaster. We know that Cristiano Ronaldo has been in love with Morocco for several years. There is a villa on site but also a luxury hotel. This establishment is located in Marrakech, in the heart of the disaster region. The Portuguese player has decided to welcome homeless people for free for the coming evenings. This is also the case of Irene Seixas, a Spanish tourist in Morocco who described her obstacle course to be accommodated and her relief at resting in the Portuguese’s hotel.
“Right now we are very discouraged. We started looking for flights, which were sold out in an instant. We had to take flights even for a thousand euros to try to leave early because we were leaving next Wednesday. The hotels are the same. We had to come to the new district of Marrakech, where there are more luxury hotels, so to speak. Now we have managed to get Cristiano Ronaldo’s hotel, which is on the outskirts, to give us a room. […] We are waiting. We slept all night on the street and at seven in the morning they told us that yes we can come and we are in a hall with a lot of people of different nationalities”, she told 24h. Cristiano Ronaldo, once again made his heart speak.
