Manchester United intend to protest any attempt to stop their superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo, in the April cell phone incident at Everton.

And coach Eric Tanhag said the Portuguese player “would not accept” the allegation of “misconduct or violent behavior” brought against him by the FA.

Ronaldo received a police alert after throwing a mobile phone from a fan’s hand in an incident following his team’s 1-0 defeat to Everton at Goodison Park.

Ronaldo has until Monday to answer the federation’s accusation, which will only come after the end of the local police investigation, which began in August.
