Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo led his team Al-Nasr to victory over Al-Taei 2-1, today, Friday, in the eighth round of the Saudi Roshan League.
Al-Nasr raised its score to 18 points in third place, while Al-Taei’s score froze at seven points in twelfth place.
Al-Nasr took the lead through Talisca in the 12th minute, before Al-Taei equalized through Virgil Mesdjan in the 79th minute.
In the 87th minute, Cristiano Ronaldo scored the second goal for Al-Nasr from a penalty kick.
Al-Nasr is now only one point away from leaders Al-Ittihad, which fell into a goalless draw with its host Al-Fayhaa, within the same round’s competitions.
Al-Ittihad raised its score to 19 points in the lead, while Al-Fayhaa raised its score to ten points in ninth place.
Al-Taawoun shared the lead with Al-Ittihad, after defeating its host Al-Hazm 3-1.
Al-Taawoun took the lead through Musa Barrow in the 59th minute, before Al-Hazm equalized through Tozi in the 72nd minute from a penalty kick.
In the 86th minute, Abdel Fattah Adam scored the second goal for Al-Taawoun, while his colleague Sattam Al-Rouqi scored the third goal in the 14th minute of stoppage time in the second half.
Al-Taawoun raised its score to 19 points, placing it in second place on goal difference only behind Al-Ittihad, while Al-Hazm’s score froze at three points in eighteenth and last place.
