Cristiano Ronaldo wants to leave Manchester United to continue playing Champions League next season. Ex-club Sporting is rumored to be back in the race.

Jorge Mendes is busy again. The well-known agent is currently offering his star client Cristiano Ronaldo to all kinds of clubs. According to the Portuguese broadcaster Sport TV, the exchange between Sporting and Manchester United is in full swing, the topic is a loan.

Speculations about a return to the club where Ronaldo once played as a youth and later took his first steps as an adult pop up again and again.

Just a few months ago, Ronaldo’s mother, Dolores Aveiro, said on a podcast: “I would love to see him back at Sporting, where it all began.” As the runner-up last season, Sporting meets the criteria for participation in the Champions League.
