Cristiano Ronaldo ‘hurt by Everton fan’ and fans protest again at Glazer ahead of Norwich

Tin Hag and Bosch are too good for United’s Disneyland

Comment: Imagine the scene in maybe 12 months, writes DAVE KIDD.

Mauricio Pochettino and Erik ten Hag, who, like these elite trainers, sip cappuccino together at a sidewalk café and reminisce about the time they were shortlisted Manchester United Work.

“We dodged a bullet in there, hey Eric?” giggle after United’s interim boss Steve Bruce was sacked with his team in the bottom half First League.

It’s an unlikely scenario but one United undoubtedly deserve.

We were told from a very good source that United offered the job to the Ajax president Teen Hexeinstead of Paris St. Germain Gaffer Poch because they think the Dutchman “would suit their chassis better”.

You mean Man United claim to have a real chassis?

No one imagines them shying away from Saturday’s derby defeat by Everton, and no one imagines them – nor does anyone who has watched United for most of the past nine years.

But actually, CEO Richard Arnold is doing the important things, like showing off the club’s reach on social media.

United will soon appoint an “assistant director of football” to join “director of football” John Murtaugh and “technical director” Darren Fletcher.

Then there’s “Chief Development Officer” Matt Judge, who deals with hiring.

Oh, and Ralph Rangnick will be hanging around in the background six days a month as a tactical genius.

Perhaps Ten Hag can report to Rangnick about the dotted line in the management structure.
