Cristiano Ronaldo’s older sister, Katia Aveiro, has been hospitalized since Friday, July 23, to treat pneumonia, a consequence of her Covid-19 infection.
Outstanding. Katia Aveiro, the older sister of Cristiano Ronaldo, is hhospitalized as a result of Covid-19, in Funchal on the Portuguese island of Madeira. It was she herself who revealed it, in a post on his Instagram account, this Tuesday July 27, where we can see her bedridden and on oxygen, wearing a hospital gown. As she details in the caption of the photo, the 42-year-old singer preferred to take the lead and announce herself her hospitalization: “This is the last kind of post I would like to write. I’ve tried not to talk about it the last few days, but at the speed at which information travels, and out of respect for those who follow me and care about me and my loved ones, I will share with you the truth. I was caught by this damn virus. I was tested positive on July 17th and I had isolated myself at home ever since. My condition was pretty good, with some symptoms, and I followed the instructions to the letter.“
Mother of three children, she had set up a very specific organization in order to protect his family, but that was not enough to protect her from respiratory complications. “Everyone at home stood far from mom, and the videos posted where I am outside were shot before i’m positive. But unfortunately, last Friday, my condition worsened. “The 42-year-old singer has indeed contracted pneumonia, apparently in consequence of the coronavirus, which led him to hospitalization: “I was admitted to hospital, and I do everything in my power to get better and to recoverr, thanks to God and to the wonderful medical team on site.“She is being treated at the Dr Nelio Mendoça hospital, where Dolores Aveiro, the matriarch of the clan, was admitted in March 2020 for a stroke.
“Let everything go back to normal”
Last October, the player’s big sister published strange comments on the coronavirus epidemic, which had made the headlines, after a mini-scandal around positive tests for the Covid of his brother footballer. “I truly respect this virus, and I would never say otherwise. But I do not accept that we put the world on pause. There are people who have stopped working, there are people with psychological problems, and others who have thoughts of suicide. That must be all as much respected. I would like everything to return to normal and God to protect us from harm done by humans.“, she had thus declared.
