Cristiano Ronaldo is omnipresent. The superstar says he has now cracked the one billion follower mark on social networks. “We have made history,” the 39-year-old Portuguese posted on Instagram, X and Facebook, among others.
CR7 has 981 million followers on the four major western social networks (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and X). Another nine million fans can be found on the Chinese network Weibo. The other ten million or so must therefore be found on other networks and platforms that are unknown to us.
Nevertheless, the Portuguese does not miss the opportunity to celebrate this achievement. “It is more than a number – it is proof of our shared passion, our drive and our love for this sport and beyond.” The five-time world footballer has by far the largest following on Instagram with 638 million followers.
