Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo is the new owner of the Marineda City gym, which becomes part of the brand that the athlete manages with Fitness Crunch, CR7 Fitness Crunch. The center already appears as one of the options on its website and becomes the first that the now Italian Juventus player has in Galicia.
The hitherto manager of the gym in the shopping center, Rock Gym, is no longer in charge of the sports activities in the space. In the middle of last month, it was known that the American chain Crunch Fitness and Cristiano Ronaldo were negotiating the incorporation of Rock Gym clubs to their network, according to the media Palco23. Among these centers was that of Marineda City, in A Coruña. The objective is to relaunch the brand and give it a boost with a renewed image, in which the footballer will have more presence.
CR7 Fitness Crunch emerged in 2016 after the signing of a joint venture between Cristiano Ronaldo and the American gym chain. Currently, and after the incorporations of Rock Gym, it manages six gyms in Madrid, as well as others in Badajoz, Jaén, Marbella, Murcia and that of A Coruña, as stated on its website. Soon, the brand plans to open two sports centers in the Portuguese capital, Lisbon, and in Porto.
