Cristiano Ronaldo scored 10 goals for Portugal in 2023, setting a new world record for calendar years with double-digit goals for the national team.
This was published by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS).
It was already the sixth year of this type of brand for CR7. The previous record holder, Mohamed Mokhtar Dahari of Malaysia, had been scoring 10 or more goals for five years.
The table lists all players who managed to score 10 or more at least twice. The sequence of his prolific years is given and, on the right, also the corresponding sequence of the number of goals in these years.
