Cristiano Ronaldo breaks Pele’s goalscoring record with brace vs Udinese :: Live Soccer TV

The Juventus superstar has finally surpassed the number of official goals scored by the legendary Brazilian.

Cristiano Ronaldo was on the scoresheet once again as Juventus secured a vital win in Sunday’s Serie A clash with Udinese. The 35-year-old Portuguese superstar scored twice in the night’s 4-1 victory to notch his 758th official career goal, overtaking Pele’s tally to occupy second on the all-time list.

Ronaldo began the onslaught in the first half with a stunning strike from the right side of Udinese’s penalty area in the 31st minute. Four minutes after play resumed in the second half, Federico Chiesa scored Juventus’ second before Ronaldo added the third in the 70th minute.

Marvin Zeeglaar scored the consolation goal for the visitors right on the 90th minute but Paulo Dybala restored the three-goal deficit in the third minute of added time. The significance of the win was that the point deficit between league leaders AC Milan and Juventus has now been reduced to 10, with the latter occupying fifth position with 27 points.

For Cristiano Ronaldo, his brace against Udinese took his official goal tally to 758 and placed him above Pele on the all-time list. The former Real Madrid superstar is now two goals away from becoming the player with the most official goals in football history with Josef Bican’s tally sitting at 759.
