Cristiano Ronaldo asks to leave Manchester United

According to a new report, Cristiano Ronaldo has asked Manchester United to allow him to leave and be sold if a suitable offer arrives during the current transfer window. Ronaldo was United’s best player the previous season and is said to be frustrated with the club’s lack of transfer activity this summer.

The superstar returned to Old Trafford last summer in a sensational move that has thrilled United fans around the world, but United have struggled in all competitions. Ronaldo could now leave Manchester United and join another European power this summer.

Ronaldo was named United’s Player of the Season as well as a member of the PFA Premier League Team of the Year. The Portugal international still has a year left on his contract with United, but a move isn’t ruled out. Duncan Castles reported in a report published in The Times;

Cristiano Ronaldo has asked to be allowed to leave #mufc if the Premier League club receive a satisfactory offer in the transfer window. His decision is driven by a desire to play in the Champions League for the rest of his career. »

Cristiano Ronaldo feels he has ‘three or four years left’ at the top level and would like to spend them at a club where he is able to add to his team and individual achievements. »
