Cristiano Ronaldo ignited the controversy and made a bold statement, by stating that “the Arab League is better” than Major League Soccer (MLS) of the United States, to which Lionel Messi has just joined, with his link to Inter Miami.
“The Saudi league is better than the MLS. I am 100 percent sure that I will not return to any European club. I opened the way to the Saudi league. Now all the players come here” expressed the Portuguese, current player of Al Nassr.
CR7, 38, released more forceful appreciations: “European football has lost a lot of quality. The only valid League that is still good is the Premier” said the former scorer for Real Madrid and Juventus, at a press conference in the city of Algarve.
The world soccer star participated this Monday in a preparation rehearsal in which his Arab team lost to Celta de Vigo, 5-0. Cristiano Ronaldo played the first 45 minutes, when the score was even without goals.
The attacker left Manchester United at the end of last year, to join Al Nassr, for two seasons, for a salary of approximately 200 million euros for each term.
During the present pass market, different figures of the activity such as Karim Benzemá, N’Golo Kanté, Marcelo Brozovic and Roberto Firmino, among others, joined Saudi League clubs with million-dollar contracts.
