Age Cristiano Ronaldo is now 37 years old. Ze Roberto, former Brazilian footballer, believe Ronaldo will soon hang up his boots.
In his former career, Ze Roberto still played football professionally until he was 43 years old. But the Brazilian, who is now 47 years old, believes Ronaldo will not be actively playing until “four heads”.
“Cristiano, to me, is a machine,” Ze Roberto told Sky Sports.
“But I don’t think he will continue to play until he is 40 because he is a player who always plays at the highest level, always wins trophies and always tries to be the best player in the world. Juventus and now with Manchester United.”
“The clearest evidence is that he’s not in the top two or three in the big awards for individuals. As a player used to competing at a high level, there will come a time when he decides it’s better to quit than try to do something where the end result will never be the same.” he said.
Ronaldo rejoined Manchester United after leaving Juventus in the transfer market last summer. At the club that used to skyrocket its name, CR7 had stepped on the gas to show off fertility.
However, Cristiano Ronaldo is currently going through difficult times. In addition to facing criticism about his playing style which is considered unable to mark opponents, he has only been able to score 1 goal in his last 10 appearances.
The Portuguese footballer is now speculated on his future, although he is still under contract with Manchester United for the 2022/2023 season.
